- Think about the compatibility of your goals. Find out if you both want the same things out of life, such as a family, kids, stability, money, careers. See if you're interested in his work and hobbies, and if he's interested in your job and pastimes. Even if he isnt, if he shares your passion for them.
- Evaluate how he treats your friends and family. Is he willing to be nice to your friends and family, even if he doesn't like them?
- Evaluate how he treats you in private and in public. Does he seem proud to be with you, or does he avoid being seen with you in public places. See if he sticks around when you're having a bad day, or is not there when you need him the most.
- Analyse his honesty and trustworthiness. Check if he does what he says he's going to do. Does he make you feel you can trust him and depend on him.
- Are you both going the same path in life and heading in the same direction. And do you guys share common interests and values.
- List in your mind, the reasons why you really like him. Keep in mind that lust fades, but genuine compatibility flourishes.
- Observe to see if he fills you in his plans when he talks about the future.
- Does he talk about his mom or show you to his Mom? If he does not respect and love his mother, then you know kind of what to expect in your relationship
- Most importantly..talk with your boyfriend and discuss these issues to figure out if you're both meant for each other.
